Chalets and mobile homes

LINEN

Do I have to take blankets or pillows with me?

No, blankets and pillows are supplied.

If I wanted to not carry my sheets, can I purchase locally?

Yes, they are sold over the counter at the reception with a synthetic quality, washable maximum 4 times and charged 5 euro per person. These sheets are taken away by you afterwards.

THE KITCHEN

Are there propane gas or electrical burners in the kitchen?

Yes, there are cooking facilities in all our mobile-homes.

Is there a fridge in the kitchen?

Yes, there is a fridge in each mobile-home.

Is the kitchen supplied with electrical appliances?

No except for microwave ovens present everywhere. The deluxe chalets of Gitotel Atlantis (of 2009) do have electrical coffee machines, the rest have a filter-cone to pour hot water by hand.

Is the kitchen supplied with a microwave oven?

Yes, for all our models of accommodation.

TV

How can we watch television?

Usually not supplied. A public TV room is open to all residents, with main French channels. Only the new chalets (of 2009) de luxe from Gitotel Atlantis include a TV set of their own with satellite channels including some in English. .

Newly installed in 2009, 5 bungalows de Luxe 40m?

BEDS AND BEDDING

What are the sizes of your beds?

Max. length: 190 cm. The double beds are 120 or 140 cm wide; the single beds are 70 or 80 cm (sometimes 60 cm) wide. Only the new deluxe chalets of Gitotel Atlantis (of 2009) have beds of 200 cm x 140 cm for the one-person bed and 200 x 80 cm for the 3 one-person beds.

Can the twin beds of the children’s bedroom be brought together?

Almost always in the mobile-homes and generally not in the cottages because they are screwed to the wall.

PETS

Are dogs allowed on your campsite?

Yes, they are, as long as you show their vaccination record upon your arrival and take a sleeping basket with you. They must always be kept on the lead and if necessary wear a muzzle. Please think to take little « doggy bags » with you.

Do we have to pay an extra charge for our dog?

There is an extra charge of 2 € / dog/ day and only 2 dogs / mobile-home or pitch are allowed.

EXTRA PERSONS

How many people can I bring more of the standard number (4 or 5 appropriate)?

Even a 6th or 7th person is accepted in the limit of 7 people in total, incorporating a cost of 10 € per night per person beyond the standard expected figure of 4 or 5 people.

Is an extra tent on the pitch of the accommodation allowed for hosting children or friends?

Yes within the limitation of not exceeding the allowed total of 7 persons on your booking. There is no extra charge for the tent.

I had told on booking that we shall be 2 persons. We will show up with 5, is that OK?

Yes as long that you do not exceed the limit of 7 persons.

HEATING

During the low season, how can I heat my accommodation?

Thanks to an electrical heater supplied by the campsite.

Do we have to pay an extra charge for heating (or water or gas)?

No, our rates include all charges; even local tax is already accounted for.

Bungalow for disabled Persons The French manufacturer Gitotel has developed this model for disabled persons. Thanks to its larger size of 7.40 x 7.30 m, it offers obviously common areas of lounge, terrace, kitchen and bathroom accessible for wheelchair users but also guarantee a room adapted for disabled parents and a children’s room also adapted for the disabled. A platform allows a wheelchair to get to the bungalow from the parking as well as to reach all public places on the campsite as the restaurant, the swimming pool, the supermarket and the reception. RATES

Is everything included in your rates?

Yes , we have all-in prices: for instance, if you rent a mobile-home for 5 persons, the rate includes up to 5 persons, tourist tax, one car, electricity and water.

How can I pay?

By credit-card, bank transfer, cash or campingcheque / goldcard.

When do I have to pay?

- 30% deposit of the total amount due for a rental + 10 € booking fee when you book and the remaining balance upon arrival at the campsite. Some of our promotions mention a prepayment of the total amount in return for surrender, as in 2009 with a discount of 5 % of the total price for early payment (before 31/03/10)

RESERVATION

I have a vague idea of possible dates for booking my stay. Can I change these dates later?

This may not be a usual treatment for all our customers. Reservations are final and binding with the payment of the deposit. (30%) We let us freedom (according to our possibilities) to a change of dates according to your wishes

CANCELLATION

Following a decision outside my control (illness, work,..), I feel compelled to cancel my booking, will I get my deposit back?

First of all, your cancellation must be sent to us by fax, letter or e-mail. You get your full deposit back (except 10 € booking fee) if you cancel at least one month before your planned arrival date. If you don’t cancel your booking at least one month before your arrival, then the Kawan-Village International may keep your deposit.

I’m leaving earlier than expected, do I entitled to a partial refund of my payment?

No because your location was not available to anyone but you. In case of serious disagreement between the occupant and the owner of the campsite, the management reserves the right (after official notification) to require the permanent departure without compensation before the end of the stay. This is just in extreme cases of non-respect of the procedures with people disturbing the whole campsite by their excesses in terms of noise, drunkenness, reckless driving, theft and other antisocial behavior.

EARLY ARRIVAL OR DEPARTURE

May I arrive earlier than agreed (from noon onwards in July and August and from 2 p.m. during the low season)?

No, because we can’t be certain that you can settle in immediately. And it would not be pleasant for you to have to wait.

May I leave earlier than the official time (10 a.m.)?

Yes, in July and August, every Saturday, you can leave from 7 a.m. onwards. Otherwise from 8 a.m. Please be so kind to make an appointment for the final check one or two days before departure.

LATE ARRIVAL OR DEPARTURE

May I arrive later, for example on Monday instead of Saturday?

Yes of course, but don’t forget to tell us your exact day of arrival. The Kawan-Village International may rent your mobile-home 24 hours after your planned arrival date, since only 30% has been paid for.

Till what time may I arrive at the campsite?

Till 8 p.m. in July and August; otherwise till 7 p.m. If you know you will be late, please give us a call, and we will do our best to find a solution. If you don’t warn us, your arrival may get quite complicated.

Do I have to make an appointment as regards my departure?

Yes, since one of our staff has to check your mobile-home.

CLEANING

Do I have to pay a deposit on arrival?

Yes, we will ask for a 100 € deposit which you can pay for by a credit-card (we will only note down your credit-card number) or cash. After the final check of your mobile-home just before your departure, you’ll get your deposit back. Just make certain that you leave your mobile-home in good condition (clean and tidy). If, on arrival, something is wrong (untidy, damaged), please tell us immediately, otherwise we may hold you responsible for it.

I found the Mobil home (…)

I found the Mobil home not in order once arrived. Do I clean it myself? No, because the previous client had to be checked for this (as you will yourself) when he left. It is a fault of our organization and you must notify us upon your arrival so that we can come and clean. Your silence on this point is synonymous with acceptance by you

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS

I found a malfunction (hot water, toilets, drainage, door). Should I fix it myself or avoid using it?

No because our technical staff is there to maintain the Mobil homes in perfect shape and are almost always there during opening hours. You must therefore go to the reception to indicate what is going on and then just wait for his passage. Do not hesitate to call back if no has come to see you after notifying.

NEIGHBOR PROBLEMS

My neighbor abuses in terms of noise or management of his dog. Do I tell him?

It depends if this happens a lot. In all the cases you can go to the reception. They will handle this discreet and anonymous for you.

PARKING

I have two vehicles. Does one of them have to remain in a parking lot outside?

No, because the pitches of 100/120m?

and even more accept 2 vehicles. (Extra charge for 2nd car).
